Deck description

This is a stun deck in every sense of the term, for those unfamiliar with the term a essentially a stun deck aims to create a gamestate that punishes a player for doing from performing certain actions or preventing, such as summoning or activating effects.. Or just preventing them entirely.

Our deck accomplishes this by bringing out three boss monsters, those being;  Majesty's fiend, Archlord Kristya and Vanity's Ruler, there's also Thunder King Rai-Oh, who's a staple for anything stun based. These tremendous forces together are The Four Heavenly Kings!

First up on the roster is Majesty's fiend! He prevents monster effects from activating, note that this not limited to cards on the field, effects that activate in the graveyard, in the hand and in the banished zone are all prevented with this one card! He doesn't interact with continuous effects either, which is a massive thing for deck! This allows him to aid our other boss monsters whom could otherwise be vulnerable to effects.

Next up on the roster is Archlord Kristya! She is a godsend, the long and short of it, she is a Vanity's Emptiness with 2800 attack sound good? Well it gets better! On the rare occasions she might fall to the grave she returns to the top of our deck and the cool thing is this effect still triggers while cards like Macro Cosmos are on board.

Third on the roster is Vanity's Ruler!  He is an integral piece of this puzzle as he only prevents your opponent from special summoning, allowing you to set up more enablers for your plays and such.

Last but not least there's Thunder King Rai-Oh! He is a Mistake and Black Horn of Heaven on legs, with a 1900 body. An excellent edition to any stun deck!

By this point you're probably wondering how we get our stun threats on the field as they are tribute monsters.. Not to worry! We have several ways of mitigating this problem the first is Photon Sanctuary, this gives us two tokens we can use to fulfill our tribute requirements.. But that's not all, we also have the field spell Mausoleum of the Emperor which allows us to pay life points for out tribute needs, there's also Gellenduo who cannot be destroyed by battle and can be treated as 2 tributes for our heavenly kings! The First Monarch serves a similar function by discarding a dead card it can be treated as 2 tributes for a monster of that corresponding attribute... Last but not least there's The Monarchs Stormforth which is Soul Exchange on steroids as you can follow up on it by entering your battle phase after using it.

So to put it bluntly the deck has no problem getting its stun threats on the board!

Last but not least we have our protectors! Cards like Royal Decree, Safe Zone and Forbidden Dress/Lance help our Heavenly Kings stay on the field, allowing us to maintain our stun environment.

That wraps things up for the main deck, and the core of our strategy!

As for the side deck Mystical Space typhoon and Dark Bribe are used to counter cards that would stop our deck's main strategy, cyber dragon is used to counter those machine type decks that swarm the field and as a makeshift tribute in dire straits, Macro Cosmos, Dimensional fissure and Soul Drain can extend our stun elements to beyond the grave! XYZ Universe as a counter to the ever so popular xyz spam, we include a board range of targets for this in our extra deck... As for mind control, it's a card I personally love, you can use this to snatch steal and Rank 3 or lower to go into Downerd Magician or and Rank 5 or 6 To make Gaia Dragon! Or even make Rank 4s should you desire them.

Now pay reverence to the Four Heavenly Kings!
